Insights into the German-Jordanian University

“Studying on the Island of Peace — Insights into the German-Jordanian University” — The GJU podcast series

An interview series in which people have their say
whose heart beats for Germany and Jordan.

Since August 1, 2004, Magdeburg-Stendal University has been the sponsor of the “German Jordanian University” (GJU) project and has played a leading role in setting up the university of the same name in Amman. With its responsibility for promoting the German dimension of the German-Jordanian University/German-Jordanian University (GJU), Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is leading one of the most important foreign science policy projects in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Journalist Mady Host is an h2 graduate and has worked as an entrepreneur in the creative sector since 2012. She grabbed her microphone and traveled across Germany and Jordan to produce a 6-part miniseries.

She spoke with funding agencies, alumni, network partners, teachers and other participants to draw a comprehensive picture of this exceptional international educational project.
Mady wanted to know what drives people to get involved with the GJU, even to emigrate to Jordan, and she wanted to find out what is important if education was to work across national borders.

She conducted her interviews in a lively atmosphere, such as in the midst of the ruins of an old desert castle or over water pipe and tea in the middle of Amman — all in a relaxed, per-you atmosphere.

Enjoy discovering, getting to know and traveling with you!
