Academic diversity and intercultural exchange
Discover GJU's unique study model, which combines academic excellence with international experience.

At GJU, around 5,000 students from over 30 countries are currently enrolled in over 35 courses of study.
Everyday student life is characterized by the German dimension, one of the main features of studying at GJU. In the first six semesters of their studies, Bachelor students are intensively prepared for their exchange year in Germany with around 760 hours of German lessons.
The exchange year at a German partner university with an integrated compulsory internship is the highlight of studying at GJU and enables students to consolidate their acquired intercultural knowledge in practice.
Studying in Germany
The German Year
A special feature of studying at GJU is the compulsory German Year for all Bachelor students. This year is divided into two halves: Students spend the first half at a German partner university and the second half on an internship with a German company. The GJU has established a network of over 100 partner universities in Germany, which offers students a wide range of opportunities for their semester abroad.
The German Year not only serves academic continuing education, but also promotes intercultural exchange and the practical skills of students. In order to be admitted to study at a German partner university, Jordanian students must meet a number of requirements. Before and during their year in Germany, students receive extensive supervision and preparation assistance from the German Language Center (GLC) and the International Affairs Department (IAD) of the GJU.
You can find more information about the German Year on the IAD side.
